Tropical Murphy’s has been Koh Samui’s favourite Irish pub since it opened in the early 2000’s welcoming tourists and locals alike with a friendly atmosphere, live music and outstanding Irish, international and Thai cuisine.

Tropical Murphy’s believes Irish pubs set the standard for good beer, which is why the Chaweng Beach fixture uses a glycol beer system that ensures that its 13 draught beers are served at 1 degree Celsius.

Like the best Irish pubs, Tropical Murphy’s is done out well, full of personality and creativity that combines the old and new. The walls and shelves boast some fantastic collections and memorabilia from around the world, including a beautiful George Best display that is a fitting tribute to the football legend.

Great care has been taken with the menu to include signature Irish dishes prepared as they are in the homeland, international pub classics and a good selection of Thai options.

In addition to beer, the fully-stocked bar offers a wide variety of drinks, including famous Irish ciders and whiskeys. It’s also an excellent spot for catching live sports, with  Premier League football and rugby fixtures shown on multiple HD screens.

However, perhaps Tropical Murphy’s most notable feature is its outside seating area where guests can watch Koh Samui go by. A live webcam mounted on the patio has been a worldwide sensation for years.
