From the era of Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg, through the times of 2Pac, Jay-Z, and Nas, the “Ol’ Skool” hip-hop revival is in full swing at Juicy, located in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit Soi 11. Inaugurated on February 1, 2022, Juicy has emerged as a breath of fresh air for Bangkok’s youthful populace, hungry for novel and distinctive entertainment spaces that pay homage to the stalwarts of 90s and early 2000s hip-hop and R&B, while simultaneously incorporating the crème de la crème of contemporary hip-hop.

The “Ol’ Skool” authenticity of Juicy is palpable from the very moment one steps across the velvet threshold. The interior, characterized by its polished black surfaces, is accentuated with vibrant lighting and striking neon accents throughout. The walls, adorned with photographs of hip-hop and R&B luminaries, intermingle with iconic neon-lit quotes from the era. Moreover, the decor is enriched with graffiti art, courtesy of renowned Bangkok-based artist Omeka, and London’s Dave Horgan.

In addition to its visual allure, Juicy offers a taste of nostalgia with standup arcade machines, featuring a plethora of 80s and 90s classics, ranging from Pac-Man to Donkey Kong.

While Juicy celebrates the cultural heritage of a bygone era, it is unequivocally targeted towards Thailand’s “90s Kids” – a demographic comprising young adults in their twenties, who were yet to be born when Ice Cube and Cypress Hill first graced the music scene.

Strategically situated on the ground level of the Sugar Club complex, Juicy also boasts an outdoor patio, resplendent with glossy tables and plush, padded armchairs, creating a serene ambiance for smokers or those seeking a more relaxed atmosphere.

Musically, Juicy Bangkok offer Old Skool’ Live Music connection featuring the best in Pop, Hip Hop & RnB, and more from the 90s to the early 2000s performed by our very own Seventh Sense Band.
